I am coaching a lifter whose lower back becomes rounded as he reaches parallel, what would you recommend to get rid of this problem?

I agree with GOD, however here's a little info for you:
Most likely it is either 1) lack of flexibility or 2) lack of kinesthetic sense. Stretch the hamstrings to fix the first, teach awareness of body position to fix the second.
MASSIVE DISCLAIMER:
I haven't even seen your lifter, so any advice given on maintaining his, (her?), lordotic curve while squatting is going to be pure guesswork based on a single sentence I've read on a forum, ergo, this advice is general and has a high likelihood of being wrong, impractical and injurious. I'm also assuming that you have correctly taught this person how to squat. Good luck.

Oh, keeping it simple.
1)Arse out 2) Chest out 3) Chin up
Should be impossible to arch your back the wrong way if you really concentrate on maintaining the position give by the above all the way through the lift. Just got to find the groove to maintain balance up and down the lift whilst keeping the above posture.

mickc assuming he uses a narrow stance your spot on,however it could be as a novice lifter he is using to much weight in training,if you have to focus all your attention on lifting the weight, form goes out of the window.I suggest starting at 65 kg with emphisis on foot position, come out untill you can hit good depth on 5 sets of 8-10, train on this twice a week with minimum rest between sets and only going up in weight if you achieve 100% in form.4-6 weeks of this should give you a good groove for when you go to the power phase. Aaron i suggest you take gods quips with a pinch of salt,we need guys like you to help us in training,i learnt from my failures in lifting and asking questions along the way.

205kg raw bench at 90kg's (if comparing against aaron) is massive, why not compete in the GBPF? It would break my raw GBPF record of 187.5kg
