Not going as high on the reps, is that to get more explosive power or just due to the closeness of the divisionals?

Less reps more sets, both because the divisional is only 7-8 weeks away and I feel I need to work on the power for single lifts, after what Dean said about his work on the lower reps and speaking to Rob about how he works on his build up I need to spend longer on the lower reps, I'll cycle up and down up to the divisional and aim to get my highest peak at the comp.

....well thats the plan anyway...

Pretty pleased with my squatting given I'm still jet lagged from flying into Houston yesterday, so damn tired at the minute makes it hard to do anything...

Hi Marc,
Thanks my legs and back are still worn out today...
I put on 46" Titan Centurion squat suit with straps down that I had not had on since the Western Euro's. It's too loose I wear it like a leotard. Going to order a 42 or 44 before my divisional. An old pair of Inzer Iron knee wraps I've had since about 2003 and Toro lever belt for squatting. Same suit & belt for deadlifting. Bench was all raw.

Damn thats alot of reps, get doing some singles tony! what size katana do you use as i've got a 44 and i'm doing incredibly well in it but i keep touching too low, just wanted to see if yours is alot bigger, mine goes on pretty easily but its just a child with unknown father to touch anywhere near legally.

Alright mate,

Singles will come, all in good time. Drop to 3's next week after a bit of rest. I've not got a Katana yet, I was saving that advantage until next year. I want to get over 850 total without one then I'll have the benefit of a Kat to get me closer to that 900 mark. I'm still using a size 50 Fury that I got for Western Euro's.

I think the Katana's stretch quite a bit, you'll just have to put some silly weights on the bar to get it to touch a bit higher up. Not long until the Uni comp, hows your training coming along?

i touched for the first time last night in the shirt and managed to get to the chest with 185, but even going up to 197.5 didnt get it touch any higher, on the plus side it was an easy press and the lockout was the easiest part. If i can get the thing to touch higher i will get more pop off the chest and hopefully a bigger lift.

wow thats some improvement from the British. Referess were pretty stricked on low presses at the Western Euro's just need to be careful that you can actually get a press further up.

Yeh the old shirt was shot and even then the 160 felt easy at the british, but the bench has flown and this katana really suits my lockout strength, I'm coming for you tony you better watch out at the divisionals lol.
